Parting Of Ways

President-Elect/Select Barak Obama wants a total overhaul of healthcare. Governor Bobby Jindal wants much the same thing. They want to get there in different ways.

President-Elect-Select Obama favors an overarching program runby the government, while Jindal favors a private “managed-care” program.

Obama wants the state to pay the bill directly. Jindal want the state to pay competing privately-owned, networks of providers to pay for the medical needs of the insured. The governor plans to do this with tax money. My feel is that I would rather be un Mr. Jindal’s system than Mr. Obama’s.

I don’t think that the level of care would go down much in the governors plan.

We will have to wait and see just what happens and which plans will be successful because I do think that both will be implemented.
