There is pork, then there is pork
Some things that are considered pork are not and vice versa.
The current billion dollar healthcare plan is definitely pork whereas the F-22 Raptor is not.
Health care is just another way for the government to grow in power. They want to tell you what, where, when, and who you go to get your medical help from. Don’t even start on the insurance.
On the other hand, there is the F-22. This is a national defense issue. We are the best trained and equipped tharmed farces in the world. That involves technologically as well. I don’t consider that the pieces of the plane that are made in several different states to be pork. It is a necessity. It keeps the cost of producing the equipment down.
What would the democrats have us do?
If we make the plane in one place, the cost per plane would go up exponentially. Their goal is to cut costs that stem from the military. The president is cutting his nose off despite his face. He says that he wants to win the war in Afghanistan, why would he cut funding on things that needed.
