DOG'MA, noun [Greek, from, to think; Latin dogma.] -A settled opinion; a principle, maxim or tenet; a doctrinal notion, particularly in matters of faith and philosophy; as the dogmas of the church; the dogmas of Plato. Compliment my dogma, and I will compliment yours.
The progressives have lots of dogmas.
There is abortion.
There is global climate change.
There are taxes.
There is anti-military.
There is homosexual issues.
There are labor/union issues.
There is healthcare.
They think that all of those things are settled issues. They are not.
If they have their way, they will take this country in a direction that will scare everyone.
