For all intents and purposes, I think that nationalized health care is dead.
Public opinion is rolling in on a tide of disapproval.

The house and senate bills do not match.
Harry Reid does not seem to be able to get the thing passed without bribery.
Even if he gets all of the democrats in the senate in line he might have to use the “nuclear option” to get it out of committee.
It will definitely have trouble when it goes to conference. There are things in the senate bill that are not in the house bill and vice-versa.
The closer to the if the bill is not passed by Easter, it should be dead. It they force a vote before the next congressional recess in August of 2010, then they will cost themselves the house and possibly the senate in the next election.
