Santa Clause is supposed to be a benign creation, even if he is not real. He is supposed to be a good person. The song says that “He’s making a list and checking it twice, going to find out if you are naughty or nice.”
I think the government has turned that idea on its ear.
What I mean is it seems the government has given goodies to all kinds of unsavory characters. From ACORN to supposed nonprofit groups that have crooks running them.
It seems that it is a equal opportunity giver as long as you are for what the alleged leaders of in charge are espousing.
That is sad and it is also a very bad deal for the country.
