We all know that the economy is bad and that there will have to be some tough decisions that will have to made in order for the state of Louisiana not to go further into debt then it already is.
I would like to ask the various departments of the state government:
What would you like to do, make minor belt tightenings or have your department totally cut out of the government?
I would wager to say that the answer would be the former and not the latter.
Of course, there are certain places in which the government needs to seriously think about gutting that department out all together. I am not so sure that this will happen because they keep finding money. It is like the state coffers are a giant couch and the state politicians keep finding money between the cushions.
This so called money is supposed to be the peoples. In that case it, or a portion of it, should be given back. After all, it does belong to we the people of Louisiana.
There will pain for us to gain the correction that should be due to the people of Louisiana.
