Teachable, Not Teachable

The state tried to game the education system.

This scheme that they came up with was to re-route good test scores to so-called neighborhood school.

On the surface it seems to be a a good idea. Then you look at it move closely and you see that they are just messing with the numbers. I guess that if they were allowed to get away with it then it would be another governmental entity gaming the system.

I am glad that Paul Pastorek and the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education stood up against Charlotte Placide and the West Baton Rouge Parish School board. It truly is a scheme.

I understand what they are trying to do but are there not things that they could do to not go in this direction?
