Obama’s presidency could turn out to be toxic in more ways than one.
The first way is in the laws he passes. I think that this is the most important way. The reason is that the laws and initiatives will take the country in a direction that will hurt the country. It has been proven that the more a democrat messes with the economy while it is in trouble, the more the economy in trouble will remain to be in that state. This tells me that the stimulus bill that is not what it says it is will hurt and wouldn’t correct the country’s problems.
Secondly, there is the military. It now appears that I was correct when I predicted that Obama would cut the Pentagon. The Pentagon is the head of the military, by cutting the money to the head, the lack of funds will filter down to the soldiers in the field. He would make the third democrat president in a row that would have cut the military. Both Clinton and Carter were tested but terrorists and the failed miserably. Carted could not bring the Iranian held hostages home, and there were numerous attacks against American installations during the Clinton administration. I fear that Obama will soon get tested and will fail. This current crop of democrats loathe the military.
Lastly, there are the moral issues. He has already said that he will get rid of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” This means that gays in the military can do their thing in the open. There is also abortion. He has, by executive order, changed the rule that the government would not pay for Americans that live abroad to get an abortion. There is the Freedom of Choice Act that neutralize anti-abortion laws in states that have strong anti-abortion laws including parental notification.
Those are just a handful of reasons why this could be one of the worst presidencies in the history of this great nation.
