With the selection of New Hampshire republican senator Judd Gregg to Obama’s staff/cabinate there will be an interim senator for that state.
It appears that the choice will be J. Bonnie Newman. She is listed as a republican. The thing is that no body can pin her down on her exact beliefs.
Sur, she has worked for some real conservatives but she has also worked for liberal republicans. She was in the Reagan White House, and got Judd Gregg elected. On the other hand she ran the campaign for Pete Wilson in California.
She says that she will not run for a full term. The problem is that there is a good shot that if she acts conservative enough, then the national party will not want to give the seat up and ask her to run.
