Blocking

Senator David Vitter (R-Louisiana) is blocking President Obama’s nominee for FEMA.

There has got to be a reason why he is doing this other than the obvious slowness of the rebuilding of the barrier islands by the Army Corps of Engineers.

There must be something in Mr. Fugate’s past that Vitters knows that is not readily available to the public.

I would hope that this is not a pure political mover. It would not serve him well.
