The State of Louisiana has some tough decisions to make.
They have until March 13, 2009 to finds places where they can cut the fat out of the budget.
I think that they can start by cutting some of the recent 4200 hires bade by the governor.
Much like a woman on her period, the state government is bloated and retaining “fluids.” Unfortunately, the “fluids” it is retaining is the peoples income. Some of the departments have too many employees. There are places where the people aren’t the problem but there is way too much cash going to these places. In both of the previous cases, they need to be cut.
The main thing is the legislative slush funs. They need to be gone because it is not the legislatures’s Money it out money.
Lastly, there are the unplayed rounds of golf, state run golf clubs, and lakes and reservoirs. I do not know what they can do with those unplayed rounds of golf but eat the loss. The state run golf clubs that no one goes to, need to be closed down and the lands sold to private citizens. In terms of the lakes and reservoirs, just stop building them.

There is a belt tightening that needs to happen.
